I painted this after going to the Kanab Balloon Festival. I had never been to a balloon festival before and it was thrilling to be surrounded by all these gigantic, colorful balloons as they filled them with helium. I loved when they disconnected the ropes and let them drift up into the sky. Seriously awesome. I knew them I needed to paint it.
