Collection of oil paintings

These paintings were all painted 'plein air" or on location. It is a truly amazing way for an artist to see shapes and color. When painting plein air though you are exposed to the elements, bugs, weather, and time constraints so many of the paintings are done more quickly....you are usually competing in plein air competitions or just collecting notes for a larger studio painting. Many collectors prefer the looseness of plein air.

These paintings are no longer available.
